This course is designed to enable learners to maintain, prepare and operate a stump grinder.

Suitable for:

This course is suitable for anyone that wants to learn how to remove tree stumps.

Pre-requisites:

None

Duration:

1 day of training and 1 day for assessment

Times:

9am - 5pm (approx)

Learning Outcomes:

• Be able to carry out a hazard and risk assessment on site

• Be familiar with the use of the machine, its safety features and maitenance

• Demonstrate the procedure of changing the cutting mechanism of the machine being used

• Positioning the machine into the correct work position

• Operate machine to remove tree stumps

Equipment Required:

• Waterproof clothing

• Steal toe cap boots

• Helmet with ear defenders and visor

Cost:

The total cost of the course is £260 + VAT this includes both registration and assessment fees

Notes:

During the course candidates will need to provide their own packed lunches unless they have been previously ordered from the local pub
